Our Commitment to Child Safety
At Bowral FC, the wellbeing of every child is at the heart of what we do. We believe that football should be a safe, inclusive, and positive experience for all young people—and we are fully committed to upholding the Child Safe Standards set out by the NSW Office of the Children’s Guardian, which means:
-
-
Child safety in our culture: Embedded in leadership, governance, and everyday practice.
-
Respecting young voices: Children are included in decisions that affect them and are always taken seriously.
-
Family and community involvement: Parents and guardians are informed, supported, and welcomed into the journey.
-
Equity and inclusion: Every child is treated fairly, with their diverse needs respected.
-
Safe and supported staff: Everyone working with children is carefully screened, trained, and supported.
-
Clear response processes: Child-focused procedures are in place to respond appropriately to any concerns.
-
Safe environments: Both on the pitch and online, risks are minimised and protection is prioritised.
-
Continuous improvement: Our standards are regularly reviewed and strengthened.
-
Transparent policies: Families can have full confidence in our documented child safety procedures.
By embedding these standards, we ensure that every child at Bowral FC can enjoy football in a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment. Parents can trust that their children are in good hands, and players can focus on what matters most—having fun, making friends, and growing their love for the game.
